Brett Piazza will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. The warmth, wisdom, and joy he brought to every gathering will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He devoted his life to caring for his family as a loyal husband and dedicated father.
Brett is survived by his beloved wife Rayna Piazza and three children Keiran Piazza (22), Britton Piazza (15), and Kaela Piazza (2). Brett embraced and honored his blended family with Amy Rumfola, Clint Rumfola, and Presley Rumfola (11). He also leaves behind his older brother Chris Piazza, Jr. (Brian) and identical twin Blake Piazza (Jamie). As young men, the Piazza trio was a force to be reckoned with and were rarely apart.
Brett graduated from Redemptorist High School in Baton Rouge (Class of 1990) and Southeastern Louisiana University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. He was an honored United States Marine Corps veteran. Brett and Blake were enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps within the same year.
Brett’s career was in pharmaceutical and medical device sales where he was passionate about health and patient care.
Brett never met a stranger and was a man of great integrity, compassion and courage. He was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed watching his LSU Tigers.
Brett was preceded in death by his loving mother “Honey”, Barbara Jean (Velek) Piazza and grandparents on both sides. He will be greatly missed by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A service to honor Brett’s life will be held at Cultivation Church, 958 N Lee Road, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM with visitation at the church beginning at 9:00 AM. A reception will immediately follow at the church where stories will be shared and his life celebrated.

Brett’s life was a beacon of hope on how to live with purpose and love. He will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will be a comfort to all who knew him. His legacy will be carried on through his family and friends forever.
