Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 5:00 until 8:00pm. Words of remembrance will begin at 7:00pm.
Jay is survived by his mother, Sophie Scholvin, his brother, Matt Scholvin and wife Jan Scholvin, his children, Jenna, Jaclyn, and John III Scholvin and stepchildren Christopher Jr. and Cameron Mouledous. Jay was preceded in death by his father John Scholvin Sr. and the mother of his children Cecilia Deynoodt Scholvin Mouledous.
Jay was an avid outdoorsman and his children’s biggest supporter in sports and in life. Jay graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University where he played football and was a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. Later in life, Jay moved to Mandeville where he worked as a mortgage broker for over 30 years.
