Grace became a resident at the Milne Asylum for Destitute Orphan Girls in 1945, later to become Alexander Milne Developmental Services. She called Milne home for 80 years, and while there she formed a lifelong bond with her Milne family and made lasting contributions to the community.
Grace was a woman of many talents. She had a passion for painting and was a devoted artist, a recipient of the Active Artist Award. She enjoyed conversations with others, visiting others; she never met a stranger. She enjoyed watching New Orleans Saints football games, completing arts and crafts activities, volunteering, embroidery, attending church services, and helping others. Grace was a woman of integrity, kindness, and generosity. She was proud of her Milne family and passionate about helping others, she had a giving spirit. A lifelong lover of Disney, Grace, visited Walt Disney World several times, where she enjoyed the magic of the parks.
Grace leaves to cherish her memories her entire Milne family. She will be remembered as a woman who lived life to the fullest, filled with love, laughter, and service to others. Grace’s absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
There will be a private graveside service in St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Garden under the direction and care of Grace Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Grace may be made to Alexander Milne Developmental Services. Donations may be either mailed to 1065 Milne Circle, Covington LA, or can be made at ¬ https://milneds.org/.
