James Thomas Scott

James Thomas Scott, born May 7, 1940 in Asheboro, North Carolina to Myrtle and Eugene. Passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by his loving family on February 11, 2012 in La Puente, California.

James is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Barbara, his son James Thomas II, and his daughter Deborah Lynn. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth Brower and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister Joan.

James worked as an Electrician for many years and was an avid auto mechanic. He did a lot of work out of his garage. He retired in 2006. He and his wife Barbara traveled to Washington state and North Carolina and went on a Caribbean cruise with his family.

He was always willing to help anyone who was in need.

He had the wonderful gift of giving to those who didn't have.

He had such a big heart.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Custer Christiansen Chapel in Covina at 11:00 AM. Immediately following there will be a reception at New Life Christian Fellowship at 837 W. Christophe, Suite K, West Covina, California.
