We were teens when we hung out, but your family has always been close to my heart. I look back and remember you always joking, laughing and bringing the fun and mischief.  You are gone too soon, and will be missed.

I can’t believe your not with us anymore. My first meeting was with you in Bath hospital  when I had Simon and you were five days old. I will always be grateful to you for this as it was the start of a wonderful friendship with your family. We have had some lovely times with you in England and Canada. You were such a kind friendly person to everyone. you always made us feel very welcome   Hope you can now be pain free and flying high. You will always be in our hearts. You will be sadly missed by your dear Family, and by those who knew you.

I didn't know you for a very long time, but when I needed you - you were there, and we used to have great laughs together.  
You had a wonderful sense of humor and as far as everyone concerned will agree - you were a brave Soldier - with all of your ailments over the years.  Bless you, as you had more to bear with than many people I know......Your health suffered, and yet you were brave enough to try and cope with it. 

May the Angels welcome you with open arms, and we all expect to have little visits from you once in a while........you were too young to leave....so you must visit.......

It’s hard for me to write this, I never thought it would ever be needed, you should still be here, you were still young.  I remember you still at my 21st, you were in a Moses basket 6 weeks old.  I remember your cuteness growing up, you were an adorable little boy.  You have always meant the world to me, my youngest baby cousin., I hope you knew this,  I will always remember you and you will remain forever in my heart. There were so many memories and so many laughs , I will cherish every one of them in my heart forever....But right now my heart is broken and I wonder will it ever mend. I just can't belive that you're gone. What I would give to see you one more time to tell you how much I love you and to say all the things that were left unsaid. I am forever changed. I still cannot believe I’m writing this. My heart is broken and I just don’t know what to say. We miss you so much already.  You were the best Uncle and I wish I told you that more often. I hope you knew how much we all love you. I know I got on your case more than I should have but thats what you do for the people you love and care about. 
I have so many memories of you that I will just cherish forever. Horse playing as kids while grandma and grandad would yell “stop it Rich” as we got to rambunctious. You made Sam, Meg and I the best bubble baths in the world.  Water fights and pranks. The day we played “made you look” all day and we were doing a crayon experiment in the oven and I yelled “Rich its on fire!” And you stood there saying “I’m not falling for that” in front of a burning oven.  Getting on my case for shaving with conditioner because you almost fell in the shower. Showing up for Sunday breakfast with coffee for us all every single time. The night we were all out for drinks and you hopped in the cab with Mike and I covered in bush burs cause you went to take a pee.  The list goes on and on. It breaks my heart that Henry won’t remember you but I will make sure he will always know who his Great Uncle Rich was. 
I hope you and Ty are enjoying a drink together up there. Watch over us all and help us through this. Rest in peace Rich. I love you xx

I can't believe I'm writing this... Rich you were an amazing uncle. You had the best sense of humor, and a huge heart. I remember the times you would let the kids and I come down and play video games with you and who can forget all of the tickle fights! You were such a fun uncle.  You were there multiple times to support me at my open mic nights. I'm not sure if you even knew how much that meant to me. You were always there to help me with whatever you could whenever you could. I miss you already, Rich. Please watch over us all, and give everyone up there a hug and kiss for me.

So many feelings and thoughts , so many memories,  we are going to miss you so so much . I was upset the other day and crying and Isaac said to me it's okay mommy I'm really going to miss Uncle Richard too , I really liked him , I went on to ask him what his favorite thing about you was and he said I loved his tickles he always had the best tickles for me, You did , I told him about all the tickles I used to get when I was younger  and  the awesome bubble baths you used to make for Me ,Abby and Megs at Grandmas house I swear the bubbles went to the ceiling lol , I tried to make him one but still don't know how you did it.  From  changing my diapers to buying me my first legal drink at a bar to my first plane ticket for my trip  to Alberta (life changing) even though you got the wrong ticket and I had to go on 3 planes to 3 different airports lol .....I could go on and on and on. You were the best Uncle and friend to us always and there's no words for how much we miss you already and will miss you forever. Say Hi to Ty for me and please watch over everyone who's hurting right now,  we all need your strength to get through this.  Rest peacefully Rich. Love you always and forever

Every memory with you is a fav. But one of my favourite memories of you was when you had eye surgery and were all bandaged up on your left eye.  and i took green painters tape and made you an eye patch and drew a fake eyeball on it anf made u wrlear it all night so i could see 2 eye balls! Lol that was amazing. 
Ill be here all day if i start going on. Miss you my bestie. Forever in my heart

The night my dog was hit by a car, I came pounding on Richard's door in a panic and said "I need your car keys, its Marlie."
  Richard hand them over no questions asked. 
  I didn't take his car that night but I did ask him why he so willing handed me his keys, no question asked.
   He simply said "a friend helps when needed."
  That was Richard. A true gentleman with a huge heart.
You will be missed RIP!
