Wayne was the beloved son of James Valentine and Lillian Mae. He was married to his loving wife Kathleen in 1960, and they were blessed with two daughters, Mary and Janette.
In his earlier years, Wayne enjoyed playing hockey; taking the position of goalie and earning the nickname "Flash". He retired his gear after finishing his military service and making many good memories playing with the Totem Oldtimers.
Wayne was an excellent auto body mechanic and took pride in his work. He was known to his customers for his honesty, reliability, and excellent customer service. He was truly passionate about his profession.
Wayne was also an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous and the Directions Society. He took great pride in his almost 43 years of sobriety. He dedicated his life to helping those with addiction and making a positive impact in his community.
Wayne loved trains and spent many years volunteering at the local train station as a stationmaster until it's closure in 2011.
Wayne's service to his country was honourable. He proudly served in the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), leaving a legacy of patriotism and sacrifice. Upon his retirement from the service, he opened his own autobody shop and worked there for many more years, many times bringing his daughters to work with him to teach them the tricks of his trade.

Survived by wife, Kathleen, daughters, Mary (Ken), Janette (Gokhan), grandsons, Shawn, Brandon, and Kevin, and granddaughters Heather, Kristen, Isla, Karen and Cindy, and sister. Judy.
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Wayne. His wisdom, kindness, and selflessness will be deeply missed by all who had the honour of knowing him.
