He grew up on Hornby Island, a beautiful place for a beautiful soul, and later as an adult moved back to the Comox Valley.
Robert had a big heart but, in the end, it was not strong enough to keep him with us. While we didn’t have Robbie for long, the 33 years we did have with him were rich and full ones having made many a special bond with those he met and who knew him well.
In his earlier years he enjoyed wrestling and Olympic style weightlifting at which he competed in and while on Hornby he started his training as a volunteer firefighter and sailing instructor, which he absolutely loved.
Robert had a great love for food and the outdoors, strolling on the beaches, walking, hiking and mountain biking the trails around the valley.
He devoted a great deal of his time to studying Buddhism, Zen and mindfulness meditation which brought him to that special peaceful place at the end of each day.
We will miss his infectious smile, belly laughter, his quirky stories and loving caring nature.
He is predeceased by his grandfather William Bell and his uncle Charles Bell.
Robert will be greatly missed by his loving mother Geraldine Webster of the Comox Valley, father Richard Webster of Cambridge Bay, stepfather Steve Pacheco of Hornby Island, brother Aaron Webster (Camille), nieces Elizabeth and Jacqueline of Victoria, grandparents Florence Bell and Charles and Judy Webster of the Comox Valley.
Robert is also survived by a step-brother Bramble Pacheco, half-brother Andrew Webster and half-sister Tamara Webster.
Robert came from two large families and will be greatly missed by his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who are too many to list, but that he loved them all very much.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Eureka Support Society in the Comox Valley at eurekasupportsociety.ca.
A Memorial for Robert Charles Webster will be held at a family home open to those who knew and were friends of Robert.
