Mary Eileen Hilton

It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of Mary “Molly” Hilton (neé Rickson) on March 24, 2012. She was born on September 21, 1924 in Vancouver, B.C. but lived in Courtenay, BC for many years raising her family.

Molly is survived by her loving husband, Richard “Dick” Hilton, her three sons, Rick, Rob (Carol), Casey (Sherri) and grandchildren Bryce and Reid. She is predeceased by her parents Mary and William Rickson and daughter, Linda.

Molly was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was married to Dick on June 4, 1948 and they were happily married for 63 years.

During her life she worked at the Cumberland government offices. Molly had many interests and hobbies that she enjoyed, such as gardening, bowling, golf and basketball. When she was young, Molly was a member of the “5 Iron Women” Basketball team and loved the challenge of the game. She also volunteered at the Evergreen Seniors Center and Canadian Daughters. Her last few years were spent living at the Comox Valley Seniors Village with her husband. She will be deeply missed by her family, and friends.
