He will be greatly missed by his wife, Rolande and his daughter, Julie.
He is also survived by his sister Wendy Tindale and brother Scott (Eve)Pickett .
Ken was born into a military family in Toronto Ontario and
raised in Portage Manitoba and Richmond B.C. While in high school in Richmond, he developed an acute curiosity for sciences and technology before entering the Bio-medical Engineering Program at BCIT. He spent 3 decades working as a biomedical engineer and took great joy in ensuring the patients were well-cared for.
As an avid reader and trivia lover, most evenings were enjoyed watching Jeopardy with his family and flexing his knowledge of history and random facts.
His uncanny ability to relay a tale of an event in his life would bring a smile or belly laugh to whomever was in earshot.
Ken loved working around the yard, driving his tractors and repairing them.
He was always eager to help whenever he could.
He was a gentleman and a gentle man who will be missed greatly.
Ken would always say “ It doesn’t cost anything to be nice”.
In honour of Ken, we invite you to perform a random act of kindness today, tomorrow and everyday.
A family and friends gathering will take place at a later date.
