Gordon Leroy Hillis

Gordon is predeceased by his wife Nadine in 2009 and his granddaughter Christine in 2005.

Left to remember him with love and fondness are his daughters; Julie (Rick) Schneck and sons Bryon and Bradley, and Janis (Bill) Cairns and daughter April. Also, his step children; Stephen, David, Darren, Nicole, Melanie, Shane, James, Dean and their families. Along with he and Nadine's siblings; Midge, Ron, Sarah, Lyn, Merrily, Cherry, Noel, Robin and families.

Born October 10, 1941 in Sidney BC, the second child in a family of 6 children. Gordon grew up roaming and enjoying the Saanich Peninsula - an Island boy through and through. Gordon was a skilled carpenter and teacher, an avid outdoorsman and was often found with a fishing pole in hand. He was a gentleman and will be missed by his family and friends.

A Memorial for Gordon will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, 1901 - 20th St, Courtenay.
