Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, her family moved to St. John’s, Newfoundland when she was two and she happily grew up there as a proud Newfoundlander. In 1954 she met and married Ken Weaver and his career in the Air Force took them and their children to England, France, and postings in Ontario before settling in Comox in 1971.
Jeanne is survived by the love of her life Ken, married for 67 years. They have four children, Susan, Karen, Norman and Lynne, as well as six grandchildren, Joel, Kyle, Sean, Katie, Jessica and Alexa and six great grandchildren, Caleb, Leah, Parker, Claire, Emily and James.
Mom loved the Lord and had many roles in the faith community over the years. She established lifelong friendships and meaningful relationships. She was loving, funny, and family focused. Her interests included cooking, music, nature and travelling with Dad. She was also passionate about chocolate and wearing lipstick.
The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to the staff of Eagleview who remembered to indulge her in those passions and provided tender care during her stay at the Views the past two years. She loved them all.
Thank you also to Dr. Bullock for his attentive care of our parents over the past several years.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
