Elaine Marietta Shaw

It is with sadness that the family of Elaine Shaw announces her passing in Courtenay on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the age of 91 years. She was born in Ladner, BC in 1927. Elaine graduated from St. Paul’s Hospital RN Program in 1950. She met her future husband, Ralph, and they were married in 1950. They lived most of her working career in Kamloops before retiring to Courtenay in 1983. Elaine’s life-long passions were gardening, fishing and family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ralph, in 2016. Elaine will be lovingly remembered by her 3 daughters Melanie, Lynnea (Cliff) and Leanne (Dave); 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Comox United Church (250 Beach Dr.). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nature Trust of BC In Memory of Elaine Shaw (260-1000 Roosevelt Cres. North Vancouver, BC V7P 3R4).
