Krista Elaine Ericson

Krista Elaine Ericson, aged 52, passed away on October 18, 2024. Born on March 13, 1972, Krista dedicated her life to enriching the minds of young special needs individuals as a Behavioral Intervention Instructional Assistant at Paularino Elementary School in Costa Mesa, and Springall Academy in San Diego.

Krista was a beacon of kindness and simplicity, whose laughter and love for her family resonated deeply within her community. She found joy in her hobbies and interests including celebrating and decorating for all major holidays, San Diego State athletics, Angels baseball, Chargers football, Ducks hockey, plays and live music events, tending to her garden, and caring for her beloved cat, Sunshine. However, Krista found the most joy just being together with family and friends.

A proud alumna of San Diego State University, Krista carried the values of her education throughout her life, influencing many students throughout her educational career in Costa Mesa and San Diego. Krista was baptized as a Lutheran and attended local Christian churches in Costa Mesa and Newport Beach. She embodied the Christian principles of love, generosity, and kindness throughout her life.

Krista is survived by her sister, Kara L. Burns; brother, Kurt H. Ericson; and nephews, Garrett N. and Connor R. Burns. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold C. and Ardetta E. Ericson. A service to honor her life will be held on November 16, 2024, at 1pm, at Harbor Lawn-Mt. Olive Memorial Park and Mortuary in Costa Mesa,

CA.
