Daniel Tony Delgado, aka Chino by relatives, Danny or Dan, was born on June 11, 1940 in Costa Mesa, California, he was 83 years old, he was raised and resided all his life in Costa Mesa. He is survived by his Brother Art, Sister-in-Law Blanca Delgado of Murrieta. Although he was not married and had no children he was loved dearly by his nephews and nieces, Deanna of Costa Mesa, Nellie Ann Delgado of Costa Mesa, Renee and husband Steve Pipes of Hawaii, Jolene Delgado of Costa Mesa, Joe and wife Tammi Delgado of Costa Mesa, Joanne Roth of Lake Balboa, Rudy and Wife Sharla Delgado of San Diego, Blanca and husband Gene Boyd of Citrus Heights. He had 18 Great Nieces and Nephews and 27 Great-Great Nieces and Nephews
Danny served in the Army in 1966, was fluent in German, Spanish and English, in his early years he worked as an Insurance Salesman and then worked for Home Depot in the Garden, where he decided to his get his CNN, Certified California Nurseryman. He worked for Nursery Land and then on to Armstrong Gardens, ultimately retiring from Armstrong’s. Gardening was his passion, not only being an amazing gardener, Danny gave great DIY advice for growing a beautiful garden. Danny was a great dancer, he loved to cook, he often would leave food at your doorstep. He had and infectious smile, all the good memories will be held dearly, Danny will be missed greatly.
He passed on November 22nd, 2023 in Long Beach at the VA hospital. His services will be on Sunday, December 17th, 2023 at 12:00pm at Harbor Lawn-Mt Olive Mortuary in the Reception Room, Costa Mesa, California
