Paul David Johnson

Paul was born in Azores, Portugal on October, 14, 1969 and was 50 years of age at his sudden death. Paul was the “chosen” son of Colonel and Mrs. Ed Johnson where he joined his new family at one day old. The family was stationed at Lajes Air Base at the time.

During his lifetime, Paul traveled with his parents to Germany, Hawaii, Washington DC, California, Alabama and Saudi Arabia, where his family lived during the mid 1980’s. He was a mortgage banker and a computer training representative for Borland Corporation in the southwestern United States.

Paul is survived by his father, retired USAF Colonel Ed (Joyce Faye) Johnson of Georgetown, Texas; brother, Mark (Kathy) Johnson of Houston, Texas; sister, Leslie (Monty) Seymour of Lipan, Texas; brother, Scott Johnson of Orange, Texas and seven nephews and nieces.

Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Lee (Shoemaker) Johnson. He will be inurned with his mother following a memorial service at the Plainfield United Methodist Church on May 9, 2020 at 11am. Pastor John Armstrong will officiate the services and lunch will be served at the church following the burial.

The family request no flowers and memorial contributions be made to the Plainfield United Methodist Church at 101 Church Street, Plainfield, Ohio 43836. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is assisting the family.
