Jones was born on March 8, 1924, in Marian Station, Maryland. She joined The Supreme Council of the House of Jacob of the United States of America, Inc. at the tender age of 8 years old, and she devoted her life to the service of the Lord, to her pre-deceased husband, Presiding Elder Walter Jones, Sr., of the same religious Faith, and to the care and proper raising of their children, Walter Jones, Jr., Virgie (Virginia) Stokes, Phillip Jones (deceased), James Jones, and George Washington Jones, Sr.

She served many years as a pioneer, a spiritual guide, a missionary, a Bible School Teacher, and a matron in The House of Jacob as well as an extraordinary culinary chef both in and outside of her religion. She delighted in spreading the overwhelming joy that she held for God through her talent of tambourine-beating during many church functions.
During her early years, she served faithfully with her husband as a steadfast missionary, accompanying our Leaders and other Evangelists in their numerous travels to many churches throughout the coast of Israel to spread the Word of God and to bring souls into The House of Jacob. All the while, continuing to bring forth and faithfully nurture five children who will forever love and miss her motherly warmth and compassion.
From these offspring, Adv. Sr. Mthr. Jones was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She possessed a delectable and talent as a chef and baked in Salisbury, Maryland (where she lived many years) for her Fried Chicken, Crab Cakes, Cinnamon Rolls, pies and other delicious desserts. She took these goodies to many Flea Markets and was then donned “Minnie’s Munchies” by all who made it a point to visit the markets each Saturday when Minnie was due to arrive.

Jones spent her waning years in the comfort of those with whom she had grown up in her Church, Jacob’s Dwelling Nursing Home on Mount Zion, The House of Jacob’s home base in the mountains of Ohio soon to be followed by her last resting place at Kindred Rehabilitation Center of Coshocton.
