After a strong and courageous fight, Lawrence J. Webb “Jerry” left this world for a better one on April 25, 2012. Jerry was born in Coshocton County to the late William F. and Ruth (Foster) Webb on February 26, 1935. He graduated from Roscoe High School in 1953. On January 5, 1955 he married the love of his life, Ida M. (Lyons) Webb who survives. Jerry worked briefly at Steel Ceilings and then worked as a certified electrician for AK Steel retiring in 1997 with thirty-eight plus years of service. Jerry is also survived by three children, Lawrence J. (Mary) Webb Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana, Ann (Steve) Hoop and Tom (Shelly) Webb both of Coshocton; two brothers, James Webb of Arizona and John Webb of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Toby Webb, Julie Webb, Katina Scott, Kistin Abbott, Kassy Peoples, Kristy Peoples, Jason Babcock, Justin (Megan) Babcock, Pam (Chad) Medley, Amy (Scott) Knepper, Katilyn Webb, Kennedy “Peanut” Webb, and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Jerry was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the local Genealogy Society. He also enjoyed gardening, raising pygmy goats, making hay, watching basketball and discussing politics and history. Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson Funeral Home on Monday, April 30, 2012 from 5 to 8pm, with a Christian wake service beginning at 7:45pm. A funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 10:30am with Father William Hritsko officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
