John H. Ellis, age 72, of Coshocton, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022. He was born on April 24, 1950, in the County of Antrum, Northern Ireland, to the late John Copeland and Marian Mary (Carruthers) Ellis.
John proudly served in the Royal Air Force for 23 years. He then moved to the United States in December 1993. On May 8, 1996, he married Winnie (Bechtol) Ellis who survives. He was the former owner and operator of Bigham House B & B and worked at Buehlers’s for 10 years before retiring.

He enjoyed listening to music, especially the Beatles, John Lennon, and the Rolling Stones; working in the garden, supporting the Manchester United Football team and he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Winnie Ellis of Coshocton; daughter, Marie Ellis of London, England, sons, Paul (Emelina) Ellis of Dublin, Ireland, Nathan (Jillian) Holmes of Westerville and Jonathan (Amanda) Holmes, PhD of Columbus; five grandchildren, Matera, Julian, Sebastian, Aurora and Ashlynn; brother, Dave Ellis of Gloucester, England; mother-in-law, Agnes Bechtol, sister-in-law, Melody (Doug) Albertson, and nieces and nephews, Oliver and Hannah Ellis, Melanie (Zach) Binckley and Garret (Cassady) Albertson.
