

George Dahlberg, age 89, of Westerville, formally of Coshocton, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. He was born in New York, New York, on November 12, 1924, to the late Bror and Esther (Anderson) Dahlberg. He attended Bentley College in Massachusetts and continued his education at The Ohio State University. George worked for General Electric for over 40 years before he retired. On June 25, 1949, he married Lillian (Molin) Dahlberg who survives.
He and his wife, Lillian, were members of Trinity Episcopal Church in Coshocton for over 51 years. He sang in the choir for 50 years and was the church treasurer for over 30 years. He enjoyed music, being around children, and fixing or building things. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
George is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lillian; five children, David Dahlberg of Newark, Larry (Rhonda) Dahlberg of Little Rock, AR, Marilyn (Bruce) Jackson of Westerville, Karen Dahlberg of Cleveland, and Steve Dahlberg of Coshocton; six grandchildren, Jon, Brigette, Doug, Hannah, Rachel, and Sarah; and three great-grandchildren, Jonas, Milano, and Sophia. Along with his parents, George is preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert and Arthur Dahlberg; and one granddaughter, Michelle.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Trinity Episcopal Church, 705 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 am Saturday at the church with Pastor Diane Cook officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
