Don retired after serving 28 years in the United States Army. He served in both WWII and Korea. Don received many metals including The Purple Heart.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where he was the care taker for many years. Don was an avid sports fan and loved the Cleveland Indians.
He is survived by his two brothers, Paul Wohlheter of Coshocton and Charles Wohlheter of Massillon; sister, Florence Van Sickle of Coshocton and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Don was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl Wohlheter, Eugene Wohlheter, and Gearld Wohlheter and one sister, Margaret House.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, from 4:00-5:00 pm at Given-Dawson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at 11:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church, Adamsville, Ohio, with Pastor Mary Molnar officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 12510 Ferncliff Road, Adamsville, Ohio 43802.
