Anthony William Bouris, age 68, of Coshocton, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024. He was born on September 4, 1955, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Louis and Rosalie (Taylor) Bouris. He attended the University of Pittsburgh and then joined the United States Army, serving his country proudly from 1975 to 1977.
He worked in the food industry as General Manager for many years. Pappy, as he was affectionately known as by his family was an avid Steelers fan. He collected baseball and football cards, enjoyed playing board games, cooking, baking, especially Christmas cookies, and was an incredibly smart, at one time speaking four different languages; but most of all, he was a wonderful father and grandfather.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Marianne (Langan) Bouris. Together they shared four children; Jessica Bouris of Coshocton, Steven (Karley Abel) Bouris of Coshocton, Alexis Bouris of Warsaw, Justine (CJ) Wheeler of New Philadelphia. He also has three additional daughters from a previous marriage; Jennifer (Raymond) Lukes of Washington, Jill (John) Scott of Tennessee and Caroline (Joshua) Hensley of Tennessee. Grandchildren, Mikayla, Anthony, JoAnn, Brooklynn, Rylie, Brennen, Haven, Steven Jr., Jaxton, Tristan, Logan, Maxton, Noah, Jensen, Griffin, and Levi; one great-grandson on the way; brother, Harry (Linda) Bouris of Ohio and sisters, Zeda Brown of Pennsylvania, Panorea Bouris of Pennsylvania and Stella Sylvester of Indiana.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Nicholas Bouris and brother-in-law, Robert Brown.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Lloyd Tenney officiating. Burial will be held at South Lawn Cemetery with the Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard preforming Military Honors.
