Ginger (Virginia Beth) Riddle Campbell, a longtime resident of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away at home after a lengthy illness on January 3, 2021. Ginger was born in Muleshoe, Texas on July 3, 1933. After graduating from High School in Booker, Texas she attended a business college in Amarillo prior to moving to Corpus Christi in 1951. Her career included being Admitting Supervisor at Riverside Hospital, and later, in the offices of several local physicians. During her marvelous life she met many people, made many friends, and brightened the lives of all who knew her. Her true joy and love were for her family. She was married to Leo C. Campbell Jr. for over 50 years until his death in 2003 and raised two children. She was later blessed with two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren who she loved dearly.
Her hobbies and passions included gardening, reading, shopping, travel and, in later years, Christian Women’s Organization, and her Bunco Group.
Ginger was preceded in death by her loving husband Leo, her father and mother, George W. Riddle and Nettie Seid Riddle, her sister June Riddle Fossand, and her two beloved Miniature Schnauzers, Heidi, and Chloe.
Ginger is survived by her brother, George “O” Riddle of Lakewood Colorado; her son, Darryl Campbell and his wife Cathy; her daughter, Desiree C. Wahlers and her husband Alan; her Grandson, Zane Campbell and his wife Candace; her Granddaughter, Meaghan Alexandra Night and her husband Chase of Mena, Arkansas; her great grandchildren, Erabella Campbell and Zayden Lee Campbell; and her nephews, Mitchell Fossand of Grapevine and Michael Fossand of Booker.
The family would like to extend their appreciation and thanks to her caregivers, Nelda, Sammie, and Donna for the loving care they gave her and all the wonderful staff at Serenity & Grace Hospice. We would also like to extend additional thanks to Donna and Irene, Owners of Absolute Care Services.
The family will hold a private service to honor Ginger’s life at a later time and ask that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and the SPCA.
She is entrusted to Funeraria Del Angel-Everhart, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411.
