Victoria "Vicky" M. Garza

Victoria “Vicky” M. Garza passed away on July 29, 2012 at the age of 92. She was born on February 28, 1920 in Bishop, Texas to Jose Molina and Guadalupe Molina. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed.

Vicky was preceded in death by her husband, Lucio Garza; daughter, Santos Mendoza; grandson, Orlando Mendoza; brothers, Cleofas, George, Jose and Victor Molina and sister, Apolonia Reyna.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her children, Dalia Perez, Oralia Garza, Diana Zapata, Juan (Becky) Garza; 11 grandchildren, Oscar (Pamela), Omar Perez, Cynthia Lara (Ray), Trisha Villarreal (Henry), Antonio Mendoza (Virginia), Patricia Doran (Mike), Irene Mendoza, Alonzo Zapata Jr. (Anna), Chris Zapata, Michelle Flores (Ernesto), Jennifer Garza: 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving Vicky are 3 sisters, Enedina Rodriguez, Teresa M. Vela, Guadalupe Quiroz; 2 brothers, G.M. Molina, Zaragosa Molina and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to the Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and staff of Spohn South 3rd floor.

Honoring her as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Oscar, Omar, Antonio, Alonzo, Chris, Ray, and Mike. Honorary pallbearers are Joseph, John Richard and Joshua.

Family will start receiving friends and family from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Holly with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. that evening with Pastor Antonio G. Mendoza and Rev. Antonio P. Mendoza. Funeral Service will be at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Holly with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
