A memorial service for Tina will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart, 4901 Everhart Rd., Corpus Christi, TX. The family will receive visitors from 12:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.
Tina was born April 1, 1950 in Fort Meade, Maryland to Kenneth & Georgia Howard. She was a 1968 graduate of Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi and attended Baylor University in Waco Texas, received her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Pan American University in Edinburg, Tx in 1973 and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Corpus Christi State University in 1981.
Her compassionate heart led to her chosen profession of nursing where her patients and colleagues praised and spoke highly of her. During her career Tina worked as a nurse in many different disciplines: ER, ICU, Family Medicine, Home Health and Hospice. Most recently she worked with the Mission of Mercy. She took to the road, rail and sky to help those in need, not only in the US, but other countries like Mexico and Africa. Tina was a loving, single mom and an outstanding role model for her sons; she loved spending time with her sons, family, and friends.
Tina is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Georgia Howard and granddaughter, Rhylie Belle Kline.
She is survived, and will be greatly missed, by her sons: Kenneth (Stacy) Reue of Round Rock Texas, Rick Kline (Shana) of Austin Texas; granddaughter Rhaya Grey Kline and grandson Ryker Smith Kline of Austin Texas; sister, Judy (Ron) Detterman of Waco Texas; brother, Glenn (Tammy) Howard of Corpus Christi Texas; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Harbor Hospice services for providing loving care and comfort support to Tina.
