Timothy Edward Hawthorne

Timothy “Tim” Edward Hawthorne a loving husband and father, passed away on July 22, 2020 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on November 10, 1940 in Fort Worth, Texas. Tim was the middle son of James Carroll Hawthorne and Ruby Grimes Hawthorne.

Tim is survived by his wife, Yvonne G. Hawthorne, his brother Jim Hawthorne, children Lisa, Jason, Chris, Andrew, Sarah, Haylie and Ty, thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Tim began his college career at Texas A&M-College Station and went on to earn his degree in History from Arlington State University. He spent his career in the retail industry touching many lives along the way. He loved fishing, listening to the Blues, traveling and playing tennis. Tim had a passion for supporting the Astros, Rockets, Spurs, Oilers and Texans. He was an even bigger fan of his children and grandchildren, always finding ways to hold them up and make them feel valued. He served as a deacon at Second Baptist Church and loved working with the youth group. While being both stoic and sensitive, Tim had an unwavering work ethic and a strong devotion to God, family and friends.
