Stuart Maurice LaDuke

Stuart Maurice LaDuke, age 89, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. Stu was born on April 8, 1933 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Charles H. LaDuke and Mildred Hillenberg LaDuke.

Stu proudly served in the U. S. Navy from 1952 to 1956. He married the love of his life, Waldine Louise LaDuke, on October 20, 1956. Shortly after marrying the couple moved to California where Stu worked for Hughes Aircraft as a dedicated employee for 32 years. Stu and Waldine spent 61 years together traveling around the world, including trips to Europe, Russia and the Caribbean. In 1994 they moved to Corpus Christi to be near family.

Stu is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his sister, Jacque Eckstein. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Margie Greer of Corpus Christi and his brother-in-law, James Pohlmeyer of Lake Jackson, Texas. He is also survived by his nieces, Kay English of San Antonio, Patti (Luther) Birnbaum of Robstown and Cindye (Carl) McDaniel of Little Rock Arkansas; nephew, Jim (Tracie) Pohlmeyer of Sweeny, Texas; niece, Jaime Berrones and nephew, Jeffrey Pohlmeyer both of Lake Jackson along with numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by his family.

Visitation will be held at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 5101 Saratoga Blvd., Corpus Christi, at 9:00 a.m, on November 9th with Funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery 4607 FM 1889 in Robstown, Texas. Memorials may be made to Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.

Pallbearers will be Luther Birnbaum, Philip Birnbaum, Michael Dearing, John Moseley, Santhosh Nair and Jeffrey Pohlmeyer. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Deer, Marvin Martin and Bill Waterman.
