Sara “Ruth” Moody, 99, of Corpus Christi, Texas, left this earth on November 29, 2020 in Meadows Place, Texas. She was born in Dallas, Texas on March 18, 1921 to Eugene Vollner Parsons and Edna Temperance Parsons. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Orrin Holton Moody; daughter, Edna Ruth Scribner; and son, Orrin James Moody.
Ruth was a homemaker and caregiver, who took her job very seriously. She created a loving home for her family and friends. She was a wonderful cook, a talented seamstress and a proud gardener. Ruth was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
In her later years, she enjoyed traveling with friends and relatives, as well as spending time with the members of the Tuesday Shell Club and African Violet Club. She created and sold beautiful porcelain dolls and impressive ceramics.
She is survived by her daughter, Sara Moody Williams of Houston, Texas; son, Noel Bowley and wife Connie Bowley of Ruidosa, New Mexico; daughter-in-law, Donna Moody of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Lacey Losee and husband Chris Losee, of Houston, Texas, Kimberly Hunziker and husband Nathan Hunziker of Spring Branch, Texas, Kerri Moody of San Antonio, Texas, Zachary Moody of San Antonio, Texas, Candace Moody of San Antonio, Texas, Derek Scribner and wife Kerry Scribner of New Braunfels, Texas, Nola Kay Miller and husband Tim Miller of Roswell, New Mexico, and Susan Coffman and husband Joel Coffman of Atlanta, Georgia. She has fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral and Burial Services will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery of Corpus Christi, Texas on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Public Visitation is at 1:00 pm.
