Joe Narvaez, 68 years old, and Rose Mary Narvaez, 67 years old, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Saturday February 27, 2021 (Joe), and Wednesday March 3, 2021 (Rose). They were both born in Corpus Christ, Texas. Prior to meeting each other, Joe graduated from Miller High School in Corpus Christi where he was a proud member of the marching band. After high school he joined the United States Air Force where he completed his four years of service. Rose graduated from Corpus Christi Academy where she was a member of the cheerleading team. They were married on July 26, 1981, and from that day forward they loved living life together and were the perfect pair. Joe was known to be more of a quiet and kind personality, while Rose was known to be a social butterfly who could light up a room with her infectious smile and lively personality. Joe worked for the United States Postal Service for 29 years and retired on September 1, 2014. Rose worked as a secretary for Citgo refinery in Corpus Christi and later went on to work for the City of Corpus Christi with the local senior citizen centers.
In 2010, they moved to San Antonio where they became members of St. Brigid Catholic Church and enjoyed partaking in events throughout San Antonio. Rose was a proud member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA) Court of Our Lady of the Holy Trinity since 2018. With the CDA she volunteered at the Ascension DePaul Food Distribution Center and various other charity events and fundraisers. In 2020 Rose joined Altrusa International of North San Antonio in which she volunteered for different charity events. Something she always looked forward too was volunteering to help teachers and staff at her grandson’s school, Scobee Elementary.
Joe and Rose were loving parents and grandparents (Nana and Popo), with hearts of gold, who always went above and beyond to make sure their loved ones were taken care of. Their two children and two grandchildren were their pride and joy. Joe loved watching sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros. Rose could always be found working on her arts and crafts or working on her garden. Together they loved working on their beautiful home where they enjoyed hosting countless holidays and gatherings with family and friends. Their love for one another was unbreakable and they were a beautiful couple made from heaven.
