Rosa S. Gonzales

She was born on June 11, 1932 in Corpus Christi, Rosa graduated from Ray High School in 1951 was among the first graduating class. She dearly loved and enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, playing the lotto, and dining at Taqueria Acapulco. She was a mother to everyone she knew and met. She will be dearly missed.

Rosa is preceded in death by her husband, Armando O. Gonzales and her parents, Jesus and Rosita Soliz, her brothers, Manuel “Meme” Soliz and Jesus “Chuy” Soliz and her sister, Hortencia “Tencha” Capetillo.

She leaves behind her family to cherish her memories, six sons and one daughter, Armando “Mandy” Gonzales, Jr., Alonzo “Al” Gonzales, Prajedes “Birdie” (Grace) Gonzales, Virginia H. Gonzales, Ismael “Milo” (Sylvia) Gonzales, Homero “Homer” (Virginia) Gonzales and Daniel “Danny” Gonzales; seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers, Demitro (Clarita) Soliz, Candelaria “Lala: DeLeon, Jane “Juana” Enriquez, Tony (Ramona) Soliz, Mary “Lela” (Charlie) Leal and Yolanda Duda of St. Petersburg, Florida; numerous sister-in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
