Romulo G. Acuna Jr.

Romulo Acuna Jr., age 68, went to be with the Lord on June 26, 2012. He was born to Romulo Acuna Sr. and Dominga Garcia. Romulo was a retired US Army veteran serving in the Vietnam conflict and later retired from the CTA in Chicago. He was a Chicago Cub fan and a Cowboy fan. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He always said that Tere was his number one. Romulo’s memory will always be cherished by those who loved him.

He is survived by his children, Romulo Acuna III and Dominga Acuna; sisters, Herlinda (David) Pershing, Raquel (Angel) Reyes, Christina Acuna, San Juanita (Hector) Rivera, Ermelinda (Jose) Ortiz and Andrea Acuna; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. July 1, 2012 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. July 2, 2012 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Coastal Bend Veteran Cemetery located at 9974 Hwy 37.
