Roderick Resio was born in Robstown, TX to Janie Moreno on June 11, 1974.
Roderick graduated from Mathis High School in 1992 then went to college at Bee County College and graduated with his LVN. Roderick went back to college to obtain his RN and graduated from Del Mar College in 2004. Roderick started his own Home Health company in 2010 and today it has grown to be a successful business.
Roderick is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mauricio and Herminia Padilla; paternal grandparents, Simon and Eva B. Moreno; and his aunt, Esmeralda Jensen.
Roderick is survived by his wife, Lizeth Mascorro; his 4 daughters Teresa, Gabriella, April and Emrick Resio. His adopted daughter, Yu Su (Justin); His 3 step sons, Marcos, Sammy and Xavier Mascorro. His brothers Raul (Marciela) Resio, Robert (Stella) Resio, and sister, Rachal (Michael) Mueller. His parents, Janie and Javier Moreno. His aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Roderick had a community of loyal friends that loved and supported him at every turn. Roderick was a God fearing man that tried to live his life according to the Lord's message and he displayed that everyday by caring for the elderly in his successful Home Health and Hospice agency. As it says in Leviticus 19:32 “You shall stand up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God: I am the LORD.”
Roderick was a beloved member of the community, a great husband, father, son, brother, and friend to most. He will forever be regarded as an excellent example of what a man should be.
Thank you dad. You will be truly missed.
A public visitation for Roderick will be held Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415, with a holy rosary at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Monday, January 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 3502 Saratoga Blvd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. Services will conclude at the church.
