Roberto D. Garcia Sr.

Roberto D. Garcia, 71, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born August 22, 1940 in Corpus Christi, Texas to the late Reynaldo and Dolores Garcia. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved playing his accordion, spending time with his family and cherished every moment with them… We love you. He retired from the City of Corpus Christi Storm Water Division, where he worked for twenty years. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Teresa Saucedo and Carolina Rodriguez; brothers, Andres Garcia, Eligio Garcia, Reynaldo Garcia, Jr., and Leonel Garcia. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Delia Garcia; son, Robert Garcia, Jr.; daughters, Cindy (Daniel) Silgero and Debbie (Fernando) Mayen; brother, Valentin (Teresa) Garcia, Sr.; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family would like to thank Angel Bright Hospice, Dr. Susan Palmer and staff. A special thanks to Vicki, Norma Jean and Leon for the care provided. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
