Robert Sanchez, 76, of Corpus Christi, Texas was called home on October 13, 2022. Robert was loved and respected by all who knew him. He worked in television for over 45 years and had multiple titles such as projectionist, cameraman, studio crew chief, director, and production manager. He was very accomplished in his career and worked with people from all walks of life. He was a very creative man and was a pioneer in bringing The Domingo Show to television. He started the Supply Our Students (S.O.S.) program, hosted Christmas toy drives and made jingles for businesses such as the LOVE jingle that still plays today. Although a very accomplished man in his career, most of all he was a great Father, Husband, Grandfather, Uncle, Brother, and friend. He was a humble man who always made sure his family was taken care of. He was preceded in death by his daughter Margarita Mirabelle Sanchez. He is survived by his wife, Margarita Sanchez, sons, Robert, Jose, and Juan Sanchez, daughter, Angelica Sanchez, grandchildren Alexis and Ben Torres, Xavier, Adrian and Elias Sanchez, Reymundo Gonzalez III, and great-grandchild Adonis King Cervantes. Robert is greatly loved and missed by all his family and will always be remembered for his generosity and big heart.
A visitation for Robert will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 28, 2022 at 10:00 AM, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A burial will occur Friday, October 28, 2022 at 11:15 AM at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
