He is preceded in death by his loving and angelical wife, Patricia Sweeney Masur and brother, Jim Masur.
He is survived by a daughter, Karen (David) Phillips; son, Jason (Marisa) Masur; grandson, Zane Phillips; sister-in-law, Shurley Masur; niece, Elaine (Mike) Pittman and nephew, Jim E. (Gail) Masur.
Bob graduated from Lockhart High School May 1949 and served in the U. S. Air Force from July 1949 to November 1952. After his Honorable Discharge from the USAF he moved to Corpus Christi and was employed by Alamo Iron Works and worked as a Warehouseman, Salesman and Estimator form November 1952 until August 1964. Bob then continued his career as a General Contractor Estimator with H.E. Jones Construction from September 1964 to November 1983, Roberts and Roberts General Contrator from November 1983 to November 1984 and Coastcon Corporation, General Contractor from November 1984 until December 2010.
Bob was a loving father and a good friend to all who knew him. His loyalty, reliability and warm friendly smile are just some of his characteristics that will be missed.
The family will be receiving friends and family at St. Patrick Catholic Church from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 with a rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
