Robert "Bob" Lee Glass

Robert “Bob” Lee Glass, age 82, passed away peacefully at home early in the morning on Friday, February 9, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. He was born to Lt. Colonel Marvin Glass and Lillian Swenson Glass on September 7, 1941, at March Air Force Base, California.

During Marvin’s career in the Air Force, Bob traveled extensively across the United States and Europe. The majority of his child hood was spent in Germany, where he had many friends and fond memories. In his younger years, Bob was by trade a welder and worked for many companies in both Corpus Christi and Houston. He worked at Christus Spohn Shoreline for many years until he retired.

Bob is preceded in death by his loving wife, Elizabeth M. Fonseca; mother, Lillian Swenson Eller; father, Lt. Colonel Marvin Glass; aunt, Coralea Shaw; and uncle, Edward Shaw. He is survived by his sister, Vivian Schuler; brother-in-law, David of Great Falls, Montana; his cherished granddaughter, Alyssa; beloved niece, Sammi Perez; and the loving Fonseca family who took such good care of him after Liz, passed away and during his illness.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Christ the King Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
