Robert Alton Beasley Sr. passed away at the age of 90 years on February 20, 2022. He was born in Phil Campbell, Alabama on November 20, 1931 to Aaron Jackson Beasley and Mittie Tucker Beasley. Robert married his wife Patheresa Mae Beasley on June 24, 1952 in Mobile, Alabama. He was transferred from Brookley Field Air Force Base to Corpus Christi Army Depot in 1967 where he worked civil service for the government as a sheet metal employee, working on helicopters. Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved being outdoors in nature and going outside to feed the birds. Later in his life, Robert enjoyed putting together 1,000 piece puzzles and word search puzzles; he also loved his dogs!
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years; Patheresa Mae Beasley; parents, Aaron Jackson Beasley and Mittie Tucker Beasley and his eleven brothers and sisters, Wilma, Opal, Mildred, Marcelle, AJ, Vester, Lester, Sam, Pauline, Jean and Jimmy.
He is survived by his five children, Wanda (Eugene) Reed, Ruth Vivian (Johnny) Johnston, Phyllis (Noel) Villarreal, Robert (Dalia) Beasley Jr, and Belinda (Delman) Reeves, and thirteen grandchildren, Augusta (Mike) Davis, Eugene Reed IV, Ginger (Keith) Andrews, Randy (Billie-Jo) Johnston, Cassie (Matt) Zimmermann, Joshua (Aaron) Villarreal, Ashley (Jonathan) Montez, Jeannette (Lupe) Sanchez, Mark (Laura) Flores, Robert (Samantha) Beasley III, Cody Reeves, Caleb (Vivian) Reeves and Shelby Reeves. He also has thirty-one great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, and also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 11:00 am at Summit Church Texas at 6301 Weber Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78413. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to your charity of choice.
