Richard Allyn Mckinstry

He owned RAM Air Conditioner in Pennsylvania, Florida and Texas. Richard previously worked as an agent with Bankers Life and Casualty Company. He proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam Era as a medic E-5. Richard was a life member of the VFW.

Richard was a local Elvis impersonator, and he was involved in Little League and Cub Scouts while raising his sons.

He is survived by his wife, Christina V. McKinstry; two sons, Darren W. McKinstry of Corpus Christi, Texas and Scott W. McKinstry of Austin, Texas and their mother, Jerane McKinstry of Corpus Christi, Texas. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Collin McKinstry of Bondurant, Iowa, Karolynn McKinstry of Austin, Texas, Carlton Bowen of Dillon, Colorado; and extended family members, Becky (Chuck) Crow and family of Gilmer, Texas and Naomi (Shawn) Simmons and family of Houston, Texas.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly Chapel, 3442 Holly Road with military honors. Services will conclude in the chapel.
