Richard P. Martinez

Ricardo “Richard” P. Martinez, age 77, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024. He was born in Harlingen, Texas, on August 7, 1946, to Pedro and Manuela Prado Martinez. Richard received his GED and went on to marry his beloved wife, Maria Elena Arteaga Martinez on June 28, 1967.

Richard had a career as a Formica Installer and involved his loving family in his small business venture. In his spare time, Richard enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and tinkering with his tools.

Richard is reunited with his parents, Pedro Martinez and Manuela Prado Martinez. He leaves his cherished memories to his beloved wife, Maria Elena Martinez; children, Yvonne (John) Molina, Richard (Raquel) Martinez Jr., and Yvette (Jerry) Saldana; grandchildren, Andrew Molina, Richard Martinez III, Aaron Molina, Marcus Martinez, Aiden Molina, Jay Saldana, and Alec Saldana; siblings, Pete Martinez, Gilbert (Chris) Martinez, Ramiro (Nicky) Martinez, Lidia Martinez, Roy (Eva) Martinez, and Leo (Chris) Martinez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:30 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will begin at 10 AM on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
