Ricardo Javier Chapa

He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Ricardo enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved to go fishing. He enjoyed traveling and camping with the family every year he was our "Tarzan" of the Frio River. He enjoyed cooking and boy did he cook such delicious food. His charro beans will be missed.

Ricardo was a faithful member of Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship Church for over 22 years, and was active in the church. As his illness progressed, Ricardo remained positive and never left behind the teachings of the bible. He was a principled man of integrity and always remained faithful in Christ.

Ricardo was preceded in death by his father Juan Bautista Chapa and Mother Elisa Garza Chapa, Brother Juan Pablo Chapa.

He is survived by his wife Yolanda T. Chapa of 42 years, Sister Elisa Guillermina Chapa;

Children: Ricardo J. Chapa Sandoval (Elisa), Rosa Elisa Chapa Sandoval (Melchor), Cristal Chapa, Michelle Metoyer (Warren), Melanie Metoyer (Bryan), Jeff and Rick Ortiz; Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation at 10:30 - 11:00 on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 with Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship Church, 6602 S. Staples St., Corpus Christi, TX 78413. Services conclude at noon.

Services are entrusted to Funeraria Del Angel Everhart, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411.
