Reynaldo Marroquin, 78, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on June 16, 2021. He was the son of the late Miguel Marroquin and Enriqueta M. Campos. Reynaldo was born in Santa Rosa, Texas on January 22, 1943. He was married to Graciela Pena Marroquin on December 2, 1967. Reynaldo and Graciela met while working at the Corpus Christi ISD Food Services Department. Reynaldo worked two jobs for many years to support his family. Reynaldo worked at the City of Corpus Christi as well as Corpus Christi ISD, Alamo Enterprise, Exxon Mobile, but ultimately retired from the City of Corpus Christi Street Department where had been for over 20 years.
Reynaldo was a good, hardworking man, who was always willing to lend a hand whenever called. Reynaldo had a passion for reading about War World II and enjoyed listening to music. Both these passions were passed on to his three boys.
Reynaldo is proceeded in death by his wife, Graciela Pena Marroquin and parents Miguel and Enriqueta Marroquin. He is survived by his children Javier (Belinda) Marroquin, Joaquin (Dawn) Marroquin and Steve Marroquin, grandchildren: Leia Marroquin, Victoria Marroquin, Joshua (Daphne) Marroquin, Chelsea Marroquin, and Ethan Miller; great grandchild: Sterling Marroquin, sisters Maria (Frank) Van Der Hoven, Juanita (Juan) Musquiz, and Maria Esmeralda Marroquin; and brother Frank Marroquin
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. A Rosary with be recited at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 1:30 p.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
