She graduated in 1962 from Roy Miller High School. Rocky worked for the Corpus Christi Army Depot for 32 years, many of those in the machine shop. She retired as a journeyman machinist. She was a member of the Saturday evening choir at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church for many years.
Rocky was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was always willing to help her friends and family and gave so much of herself. She will be be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Rocky is preceded in death by her husband, Moises “Moe” Garcia, sister Mary L. Osborn, brothers Raul A. Santos and Reynaldo Santos.
She is survived by her daughter, Claudia Garza and son-in-law Luis Garza both of Austin, TX; granddaughter, Emily Garza of Indiana; grandson Marco Garza of Austin, TX; two brothers, Rodolfo Santos of San Antonio and Roberto Santos of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Rebecca Santos and Rosalinda Santos both of Corpus Christi. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A visitation for Raquenel will be held Monday, March 13, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart, 4901 Everhart Rd, Corpus Christi, Texas 78411 Holy rosary/liturgy service will occur at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Ss Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 3210 S Padre Island Drive, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415 followed by Interment at 11:30 a.m. at Rose Hill Memorial Park, 2731 Comanche St., Corpus Christi, Texas.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church, school, or choir in Rocky’s name.
Pallbearers will be Albert Arismendi, Luis Garza, Marco Garza, Michael Leal, Tarun Reddy, and John Santos.
