Philip Arthur Montminy, age 86, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. He was born in Winslow, Maine on April 27, 1936 to Arthur Montminy and Albertine Gauthier Montminy.
Philip was married to Margarita Montminy for 46 years.
Philip had a career in the U.S. Coast Guard for 24 years and retired from service as a Chief Warrant Officer. Philip also worked as an electrician for Del Mar College for over 18 years. He enjoyed music, dancing, fixing things for his grandchildren. Philip had a passion for crossword puzzles and for his grandchildren, just spending time with all of them and loved them dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Margarita Benitez Montminy; his children: Stephen Montminy, Sharon Jolicoeur, Stanley Montminy, Sonya Marrello, Carmen Knight, Charles Montminy, and Philip Montminy Jr., and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with extended family and friends.
Family will be hosting a Memorial Service and a Celebration of Life at 12:00 noon on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Funeraria Del Angel-Everhart, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411. A burial of ashes to follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9947 IH 37, Corpus Christi, TX 78409 at 2:00pm.
