Pedro C. Longoria, 97 of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. He is preceded in death by his wife Frances M. Longoria, Bruno C. & Guadalupe Longoria (parents), Brothers, Pablo Sr, Oscar & Bruno Longoria Jr., his sister Juanita Longoria and grandson Domingo (Sonny) Longoria Sr.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather & great-grandfather. He worked at the Naval Base in his early years as an ambulance driver. He was always stopping on the side of the road aiding help or assisting. He then became self-employed as a Truck Driver for over 40 years. He was also a landlord for 25 years and collected rent for rental property. He was a hard-working and courageous man. He was a pioneer man with such strength. He loved to be outside, always working in the garage, yard, repairing items and creating items. He loved taking care of his plants. He always had a tool or drill in his hand. He loved hunting during hunting season and going to the San Diego ranch. He loved all of us and would pray his Rosary every morning. He was a devoted and faithful Catholic. He will be dearly missed. We the family, were truly blessed with our wonderful & amazing Dad who was tremendously loved by his grandchildren & great grandchildren. He loved them dearly and were his pride & joy.
He is survived by his three sons, Pete M. Longoria (Anna), Joe M. Longoria (Angie) both of Corpus Christi, Robert M. Longoria (Irene) of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Gloria L. Padilla, Mary Helen Rangel (Angel) both of Corpus Christi. Eight Grandchildren, Valerie Padilla (Aaron Reeves), Jason Padilla, Andrew Longoria (Elissa), Ryan J. Gutierrez (Lauren), Anthony Longoria (Shaneka), Adam Longoria, Jasmine Havlik-Longoria, Justin Longoria, Five Great Grandchildren, Destini Longoria, Domingo Longoria Jr., Genevieve Longoria, Jasmine Longoria, Aeris Faith Garza & Lola Olivia Longoria.
Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 9 pm on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Memory Garden Chapel with a Rosary at 7:00 PM.
Rites of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Nuestra Señora San Juan de los Lagos at 1755 Frio. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Grandchildren, Andrew Longoria, Jason Padilla, Ryan Gutierrez, Justin Longoria, Anthony Longoria & Adam Longoria.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all his Doctors & Nurses that cared for him through the years. We also would like to acknowledge all the Nurses and CNA’s at Brookdale & Windsor Nursing. Thank you for attending to our Dad while he was there and making him comfortable.
