He was born in Corpus Christi, TX on February 1, 1948 to the late Pedro and Virginia Lerma. Pete graduated from Miller High School in Corpus Christi. He married the love of his life, Esther Garcia Lerma on June 28, 1966. Pete had a career in the Oil & Gas Industry for Shell Oil. He was a member of the Masons and had a passion for football and his family.
Pete leaves his loving memories to his beloved wife, Esther Garcia Lerma; children, Pete Lerma Jr., Kathie Minshall, Marcus Lerma; grandchildren, Jordan Lerma, Madelynne Lerma, Roman Lerma; siblings, Mary Jane Garza, Adolf Lerma, Rebecca Rocha, Laura Perez and James Lerma.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. with Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
