She was born on July 13, 1925 in Portales, New Mexico. She served in the restaurant industry all of her life, and then retired in 1987. She was known for her smile, laughter, her love for cooking and most of all the love of people, especially her family. She lived her life for her family, and was always serving others.
She truly had a servants heart. Although she battled Alzheimer’s, she never lost her optimism, her joy and her amazing laughter. She was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church, until her later years, when caring for her husband and then battling Alzheimer’s.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Zillie Mae Wrinkle; brothers, Earl, Charles, Herman and Aurby Wrinkle; sisters, Edna Paulson, Nadine Crawford and Christine Larsen, and beloved husband, Charles Hill.
She is survived by sons, David (Annette) Singleton of Corpus Christi, Ray (Margaret) Singleton of Willis Texas, and Paul (Judy) Singleton of Tullahoma, Tennessee; daughters, Valerie (Greg) Violett of Corpus Christi, Emily (Steve) Robinson of Corpus Christi; 16 grandchildren and numerous great - grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 4, 2014 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Service to be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
