She was devoted to her husband, her family, and her close circle of friends. Her faith was a constant throughout her life. Paula's selflessness and capacity for unconditional love were an inspiration to those who knew and loved her. After she retired as a bookkeeper for Goodyear then Firestone, Paula enjoyed spending hours in her beautiful garden and sharing company with loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Servando Ruiz, and their son, Javier Ruiz. She is survived by daughters Ruby Anna Ruiz Crowe (Kenneth Crowe) and Rosanna Ruiz (Michela Garcia). She is also survived by a grandson, Nathan Crowe, granddaughter, Alexa Crowe, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Paula will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415. A mass of christian burial will occur Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 3210 S. Padre Island Dr., Corpus Christi, TX 78415. A rite of committal and interment will occur at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd., Corpus Christi, TX 78415.
