Ofelia Longoria Aranda, 93, formerly from Skidmore, TX, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022, in Corpus Christi, TX. She joins, in her heavenly home, her parents, Jorge and Raphelia Longoria, beloved husband of 70 years, Jesus Ortiz Aranda and sons Santiago (Jimmy) Aranda and Jessie (Bebe) Aranda.
Ofelia was the youngest of 8 sisters. She dedicated her life and was committed to the duties and responsibilities of the healthcare industry, specifically as an Emergency Room nurse. She was passionate about quilting and any related projects and for many years held free open to the public sewing/quilting classes in which she provided guidance, instructions and all material and equipment needed for people in attendance.
She is survived by daughter Sylvia Aranda and son John David (Mary) Aranda, in addition to grandchildren, Lisa Anette Aranda, James Aranda, Jimmy Aranda, John Aranda, Jesse Aranda, Jr, Belinda Palacios, Christina Aranda, Christian Lopez (Jane), Amy Lopez-Gonzales (Frank), Amanda DeLeon and Jennifer Gonzalez (Johnny), and loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Viewing services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 between the hours of 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm at Funeraria del Angel Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415, with a Vigil Service and Rosary occurring at 7:00 pm that evening. A Funeral Service will take place at Funeraria del Angel Memorial Holly on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 10 am. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 following the Chapel Service at Rose Hill Cemetery.
