Odelia Elizardo Martinez

She was born to the late Roberto and Guadalupe Elizardo in Taft, Texas on March 10, 1945. She was a loving, strong, and caring woman blessed with a beautiful family. She married her best friend and love of her life, Arnulfo Martinez on September 23, 1965 in Taft, Texas. Odelia helped raise her four children with patience, discipline, and love. In her early years, she work at the Taft hospital and Taft nursing home. Later in life, she went on and owned multiple businesses.

She is preceded in death by her sisters, Antonia Hacker and Estela Garza.

Odelia is survived by her husband, Arnulfo Martinez; sons, George Martinez, Arnold (Sylvia) Martinez, Jason (Marisa) Martinez; daughter, Priscilla (Rocky) Rodriguez Jr.; brothers, Roberto (Antonia) Elizardo Jr., Ruben Elizardo, Raymon (Ramona) Elizardo; sisters, Aurora Maldonado and Audelia (Lele) Silvas. She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

We are so lucky to have had Odelia for the 76 years she was on this earth. Her life was full of beauty and love. She will be dearly missed by us all.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel, 549 Cheyenne St. on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 120 E. Escobedo St., Taft, TX on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Lamas Memorial Park, 800 Ave C, Taft, TX.
