Norma Rosario Hernandez, 60, of Corpus Christi, TX, passed away on April 11, 2020 after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born in Alice, TX on November 12, 1959 to Aurelio and Guadalupe Perez of Hebbronville, TX. Norma graduated from Killeen High School. She attended Texas A&M Kingsville. She was married to Ruben Hernandez Sr. on April 9, 1977.
Norma was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered for her devotion to SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, her membership as a Gualdalupana, her active role in aiding political campaigns, and her love of Bingo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aurelio and Guadalupe Perez; sister, Amnita Saldana; brothers, Octavio Luna and Fausto Delgado; nephew Quirino Saldana Jr.; and nieces, Luanna Luna and Desiree Medina.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ruben Hernandez Sr.; son Ruben Hernandez (Robyn); daughter Crystal Levine (Bennie); grandchildren Gabriella, Jace, Aimie, Alyssa, and Ava; great-grandson, Bryce; brothers Arnoldo (Toni) and Homero (Nena) Luna; sister Susie Luna-Saldana and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Holy Rosary will be recited at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church.
