Norma G. Flores, 65, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on December 6, 1958, in Beeville, Texas, to Guadalupe and Maria Delia Solis. From a young age, Norma displayed a kind and nurturing spirit, qualities that she would carry throughout her life.
After completing her education, Norma pursued a career in healthcare, earning her Phlebotomy Certificate from Del Mar College. She was dedicated and passionate in her work, always treating patients with care and respect. Her natural empathy and professionalism made her stand out in her field, and she quickly became a trusted and valued member of her community.
Outside of her career, Norma’s true happiness was found in the simple pleasures of life. She had a love for shopping and took joy in exploring new places during trips out of town. But her heart was always at home when surrounded by her family. Norma had a gift for cooking, and nothing brought her more joy than preparing meals for her loved ones, filling the kitchen with warmth and laughter. Family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Norma will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She had a heart full of love and was always willing to help those in need, whether it was lending an ear or offering support. Her caring soul touched the lives of everyone who knew her, and her legacy of compassion will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her father, Guadalupe Guartuche, and her brother, Guadalupe Guartuche Jr., both of whom she held dear to her heart. Norma is survived by her loving mother, Maria Delia Guartuche, who was her guiding light. She also leaves behind her cherished siblings: Esmeralda (Sammy) Herrera, Maria Elena (Alvino) Aldaco, Jose Antonio Guartuche, Israel Guartuche, and Juan Gabriel Guartuche. In addition, she is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews: Jessica Canchola, Samuel Santos Herrera, Stephanie Gonzales, Alvino Jose Aldaco, and Naomi Irene Aldaco, along with 10 adored great-grand nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Norma's life. Visitation will be held on October 14, 2024, from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Funeraria Del Angel, located at 549 Cheyenne St., Corpus Christi, Texas 78405. A Holy Rosary, led by Deacon JC Ayala, will take place at 7:00 P.M. that evening. On October 15, 2024, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Stephan officiating. Following the Mass, cremation will take place in accordance with her wishes.
Norma's love, kindness, and dedication to her family and friends will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
